I was taking a short break from writing to recharge, but it seems like writing never left me.
Something odd has been happening to me lately. It’s an unexpected creative journey that takes place during my slumber. I have recently found myself composing sentences, paragraphs and stories while I’m dreaming…as if I’m aware, but I’m asleep. A bizarre process of editing and re-writing sentences constantly appear in my dreams that I find myself trying to memorize each line so that when I wake up, I could write them down…but I’m asleep! The sentences that I have successfully memorized I jot down and read over and over, and some make sense and others don’t.
Are they simply dreams and nothing more? Is there something here that I’m supposed to grasp? Maybe these are simply reminders for me to get back to work. If so…point taken.
