Getting Back to Work

Hello friends. I got back from Montreal last week. I spent two and a half weeks there with friends and family, and spent no time on my computer. In between pigging out on foie gras, kobe burgers and other delicious eats, I managed to squeeze in a few trips to a couple of bookstores and a few coffee shops, but didn’t get a chance to write anything. I thought it would be the opposite—that I would be on vacation, get lots of rest and have time to edit my book and write, but I was too exhausted to think. Maybe I was too relaxed. Or maybe I like Montreal more in the fall. Something about the leaves on the ground and the cold breeze inspires me to write. Sigh.

Most of the bookstores I stumbled upon had very small selections of books in English, but it didn’t matter. Simply being surrounded by books, even in a language I don’t speak, was enough for me.

I look forward to getting back to work this week. Time to continue editing. I have a lot of catching up to do.

How was your weekend?
